My dog is shaking and has no energy.?

He is a large pit bull/mastiff mix and we rescued him so we don't know much about him. but just last night he started having small shivers and has had no energy. he used to be so hyper all the time. I dont have enough money to take him to the vet. Can anyone help me.?.
