What are the advantages or disadvantages of buying a desktop computer fo home use?

I have a decent laptop computer but my desktop is obsolete. I use the desktop for homeowner business, paying bills, letter writing, storing and processing photos. I am not a gamer and don't need space on my desk. Am I dumb for still wanting a desktop computer in this age of wireless networks?

How do you know when your divorce in final?

ok kind of a long story... got married for 1year. husband in the military... got papers with no lawyer through a legal doent preparer. we did an uncontested divorce.we have no children. so i filed the papers july 3rd. i never heard anything from the courthouse as far as what was going on.no court date or anything. so today i got some papers in the mail. it says judgment for dissolution of marriage. dated 8/4/08. its just a packet of like 10 papers. but no where on it does it say you are divorced.so does this mean its final or do i have to do something else with these papers?

pirates didn't get much. i like laroche and that's pretty much it. hansen is still young, but he's been pretty bad this year. i've watched moss when he replaced youkilis in the lineup and he's not very good. the pirates are just giving up their big pieces.

I need help making a decision..my life at home is hel..nothing I do is good enough, I lost my best friend the other week because of her ******* boyfriend, my grandma is about to die of cancer..and I feel like I am all alone…I want to run away from it all and start fresh…but what are the consequences for running away..and what should I do after I do run away…what do I need to bring..etc….i cant stand my life at home anymore..my parents hit me, last week my parents threw my school books on me, and my mom hit me….she told the cops that came to our house that I ran into something…and another bull s h i t story..so yeah..i need advice..anyone out there to help me?!?! by the way im fifteen athletic, im pretty light and can run long distances..
