What type of sump pump would you recommend for outdoor drainage?

My backyard is saturated with water so I dug a ditch along the back property line approx. 2' x 2' x 90' long. By my calculations that's about 2700 gal of water capacity. Due to property constraints I need to move this water another 210' to my front yard drainage ditch so a garden hose is the only practical (economical) way to transfer this water. What sump pump would best do the job, electric or gas? What power rating?
