Can i refill a one gallon jug of water once or twice without exposure to any heat for with healthy results?

I am traveling right now and the hotel water is horrible, so I went and bought a couple of jugs of drinking water. There is a machine downstairs that refills jugs for really cheap so I was wondering if this was safe the number on the recycling logo is 2. please explain answer!
