In the solubility table of chemistry, what is hydrogen? It's one of those "special" elements that alters because of its state and properties... but is it soluble? Specifically in combining acetic acid (vinegar) and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)... I know that makes sodium acetate, water and CO2, but how do write that as an ionic equation for displacement? Is carbonic acid that is produced at first the net equation that results in CO2 and water in the end? How do mathematically/scientifically/chemically note the change in an equation with that?
